Terms And Conditions
By entering the High Life Travel Photography competition, entrants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the competition.
The competition is open to entrants worldwide aged 18 years and over. Proof of age will be required before prizes are awarded.
The competition is free to enter and you can enter one photo per season.
The following formats can be accepted: GIF, JPEG, JPG and PNG.
You can only vote for an image once.
British Airways and Cedar Communications accept no responsibility for lost or damaged material.
No responsibility can be accepted for entries which are not properly received due to communications beyond our control. Photographs cannot be returned.
Copyright clearance and permission of subjects are the responsibility of the entrant.
British Airways and Cedar Communications reserve the rights for future use of the images.
The competition is not open to anyone associated with Cedar Communications Ltd or any associated companies.
Please note: the competition is moderated, and images will be loaded at the judge’s discretion. We reserve the right to remove images that have not been submitted correctly or that are deemed inappropriate.
PRIZES:
Winners will be notified within 28 days of each season closing date.
Closing dates are as follows:
Season 1 (1st November 2009 - 31st January 2010), midnight GMT
Season 2 (1stFebruary 2010 - 30stApril 2010), midnight GMT
Season 3 (1st May 2010 - 31st July 2010), midnight GMT
Season 4 (1st August 2010 - 31st October 2010), midnight GMT
Winners of the grand prize will be notified in December 2010 for the prize to be taken in 2011.
The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
A list of winners' names is available on written request from Cedar Communications Ltd, 85 Strand, London WC2R 0DW.
The prizes are not transferable. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. No credit or cash alternatives are available.
The competition organisers cannot enter into any further correspondence regarding entries.
The season prizes consist of one Nikon D3000 Digital SLR Camera and 18-55VR lens. There will be two winners each season – a judge’s choice, and a people’s choice.
Winners of the Grand prize must be able to make their own way, at their own cost to either London Heathrow or London Gatwick airport (dependent on the final destination for the shoot).
The Ultimate prize will consist of return BA flights to a North American destination for a minimum of two nights stay. Hotel costs (at a hotel of our choosing), meals, transfers to and from the destination airport will be included, as will a day assignment with the photographer. Incidental expenses are not included.
Seats on the flight are subject to availability and capacity control at the time of booking. Once flights have been booked, no changes to the tickets are allowed. The tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable and taxes, fees, charges and security surcharges are included in the tickets. It is the winner’s responsibility to supply valid passports, visas and where necessary vaccinations and inoculations for him/herself. We recommend that the winner takes out travel insurance prior to commencing any flight.
All passengers are carried by BA in accordance with its Notice and Conditions of Contract as stated on each ticket and its General Conditions of Carriage for Passengers and Baggage (a copy of which is available on www.ba.com, at “Privacy and Legal”).
BA reserves the right to cancel or amend the terms and conditions of this prize draw without notice in the event of major catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, earthquake or any actual, anticipated or alleged breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other similar event.
This competition is governed by English law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
