How It Works

Over the next 12 months, we’re giving you the chance to win the ultimate prize of a photography assignment with one of High Life magazine’s leading photographers. There are also eight Nikon D3000 digital SLR cameras and lenses to be won, worth £500 each. To take part, you need to register and then upload your entry.

Quarterly Prizes

Every three months there will be two separate prizes of a Nikon D3000 digital SLR camera and 18-55VR lens: The Judges’ Choice. Our panel of judges will choose the best entry in each three-month period. The panel will include High Life art director Jamie McPherson and photographer Jonathan Gregson.

The People’s Choice. Visitors can vote for their favourite pictures on our online gallery, awarding them between one and five points. At the end of each three-month period, the image that has received the highest number of points will win.

The Ultimate Prize

In November 2010, all winners of the quarterly prizes will go through to the grand final and two lucky winners (one from each category) will be chosen by our judges. Each of the two overall winners will have the opportunity to accompany a High Life photographer on assignment in North America.

How to vote

Just click on your favourite images to vote for them. You can rate them from 1 to 5 (5 is the highest).

You can only vote for an image once. At the end of each quarterly voting season, the image with the highest number of total points will win the People’s Choice prize.
