The new Cunard liner and its glam interiors hail the return of the art of travel
Cunard’s latest Liner, Queen Elizabeth
Step onto the deck of Cunard's latest ship, Queen Elizabeth, and you'll be transported back to a time when travelling by ocean liner was eminently glamorous.
Inspired by the 1930s, the ship is a feast of Art Deco. The grand lobby has a huge chandelier, marble finishes and sweeping staircase. The games deck has a bowling green and a croquet lawn, and guests can attend country-house parties as long as they wear striped blazers (sold onboard).
The ship cost £365 million, has 16 decks and is three times the size of The Titanic. Next month, she will depart Southampton on her maiden voyage to the Atlantic Isles. Cunard also offers transatlantic voyages from Southampton to New York and vice versa including BA flights between New York and London Heathrow or Manchester.
