Katherine Jenkins, mezzo-soprano: Ravello, Italy
I love visiting Italy for classical music - so much opera is in Italian and many artists and singers come from Italy, so it's the obvious choice. One of my favourite places is a beautiful town called Ravello on the Amalfi coast, and I always go to its music festivals, which happen every June through to August (ravellofestival.com). Behind the stage there is nothing but the sea — it is one of the most romantic settings I have ever seen. One night there were freak thunderstorms that came from nowhere.
You have to go to Andrea Bocelli's annual festival in Lajatico, called Teatro del Silenzio (teatrodelsilenzio.com). I've performed there with Placido Domingo and Andrea, who entered the stage on horseback. It's set in the Tuscan hills and the scenery is breathtaking. Five thousand people turned up just to watch the rehearsal.
If you want to see an opera, you should go to the Arena Di Verona (arena.it), which is the only working full amphitheatre left. I cried the last time I went.
Katherine Jenkins' new album is Day Dream (Warner Bros Records).

Chipmunk, rapper: Miami
Miami is great for the hip-hop scene right now — and the weather isn't bad either. I recently went there to shoot my video for Champion. It has a really cool vibe and the people all seem to be out for a good time, which is what I look for when I want to relax and have fun. My favourite nightclubs are LIV on Miami Beach (livnightclub.com) and Mansion on Washington Avenue (mansionmiami.com). I'd recommend them if you like to party hard.
Chipmunk's latest album Transition (Jive Records) is out now.
