Tuck into some tasty tomatoes on a foodie break in Cyprus

The typical Mediterranean diet, including olive oil, vine leaves, fish and tomatoes, leads to a far lower morbidity rate from obesity, heart disease and certain cancers than the typical British diet. A culinary week at the InterContinental Aphrodite Hills Resort Hotel in Cyprus aims to adapt this way of life to promote healthier eating for all.
This experiential take on the traditional cookery course teaches guests how to cook healthily, and how to adapt new skills – such as filleting fish and making bread – when you return to the rat race. Guests can also accompany chefs to local food markets. The next culinary week runs from 17-24 January 2009 and costs from £1,338 per person.
