The latest offering from hotelier Andrew Brownsword and two Michelin-starred chef Michael Caines, is the Manchester-based and fourth outpost of the Abode chain. The hotel is in a refurbished Grade II listed building, one of the city’s landmarks designed by Charles Heathcote, and has retained many original features. Intended to be an affordable lifestyle hotel, Abode Manchester will have a ‘Fabulous’ floor with bespoke benefits for guests – such as a dedicated service team and an in-room pantry. There’s also a lobby café bar with resident DJ, loft-style bedrooms with Italian-designed furniture and monsoon showers as well as quirky original artworks.
