Taj Hotels and CC Africa have just opened a stunning safari lodge within the Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh, India. It is one of nine reserves involved in Project Tiger, which has been launched to save the species from extinction.

Two elegant camps, each comprising nine tented suites made from locally sourced and sustainable materials, are set on raised structures to allow for growth and drainage. Double layers of canvas keep the tents cool to avoid the use of air-conditioning units.

Another lodge, Pashan Garh, also opens in spring at Panna National Park.
