Getting ready for a trip away can be a flurry of must-do lists to ensure that you’re beach ready. With the arrival of Blink brow bars at Terminal 5, dealing with unruly eyebrows is one less thing to worry about.

If you’re new to the world of Blink it combines the ancient art of threading (spinning two threads twisted together to pinch out the hairs at the roots in no time) to neaten straggly brows, with a walk-in service. Since launching Blink Brow Bars in 2004, owner Vanita Parti has seen a steady stream celebrity clients such as Emma Watson, Girls Aloud, Laura Bailey and Toni Colette walk through the doors of her London-based salons. And the new brow bar at Terminal 5 is proving just as successful. 'It’s great for our London clients who have no time to thread before they travel,' says Parti. 'It’s also a wonderful opportunity for clients from abroad and those who don’t live in London to experience Blink.'

The advantages to threading compared to waxing or tweezing are addictive: the results are longer-lasting as it takes each and every hair out and it’s more precise as the therapist can guide the thread as she wishes. However — and I kid you not — it stings. But 15 minutes later it was over and all was forgiven when my brows were being massaged with soothing rose fragranced gel. The pain was almost worth this bliss.
