The first stage of the Marriott’s multimillion pound refurbishment has been completed. Newly opened is the Club floor, which has 45 luxury rooms with four-poster beds, open fires, marble bathrooms and a study area.
Twelve Club rooms have private courtyard gardens. For Club guests, there’s also a lounge, which serves breakfast and all-day refreshments, and has WiFi. The décor is a contemporary take on the traditional: cream leather, oak floors and teardrop chandeliers.
The Marriott is also home to Gordon Ramsay’s Maze restaurant, headed by executive chef Jason Atherton. The new Maze Grill is an informal addition to the restaurant, featuring a butcher’s block communal table, from which diners can watch the chefs at work.
