1. Camp out. If you didn't manage to get tickets (who did?!) get yourself a tent, some friends and enough food to last you the night and position yourself outside the grounds so you can be first in the queue for the following day. You do run the risk of ponging a bit after the lack of a shower and you'll have to carry your camping equipment around all day but hey, it could be worse. You could be taking on Fed.
2. Find a big screen. If you can't face camping your next best option is to head to Aorangi Terrace (AKA Murray Mound, formerly Henman Hill), part of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, where you can watch all the action on a giant screen next to No.1 court. This is where journalists go trawling for vox pops too, so there's even a chance you might get to see your self on TV.
3. Invest in strawberries. Yes, they'll be vastly overpriced, but no Wimbledon experience would be complete without a serving of strawberries and cream. You need to keep your stamina up, after all.
4. Take an umbrella. Because it will rain. Another option is to take cover in the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum and check out memorabilia, old video footage and of course, the trophies. Remember: look but don't touch.
5. Be a couch potato. Wimbledon gets rammed during the two-week tournament and can be a nightmare to navigate. If you want to keep your heart rate down, avoid the crowds and watch the action from the comfort of your living room. You won't have to queue for strawberries, either.
