What makes a good hotel?
It's all about feeling at home. To kick back in a place where all your needs are met makes for a great break.

Your favourite destination?
Frome, Somerset. I love getting out of town to Babington House.

What is in vogue right now in terms of hotel interiors?
To be functional, look great and have nice little touches. Restored vintage record players and vinyl LPs add a twist in the Soho House Berlin rooms, where the Art Deco style has been created by Susie Atkinson.

What are you working on now?
We plan to open a Beach House in Miami this autumn. Think cabanas and beach huts but Soho House style.

What next?
It'd be great to open another House maybe in Chicago. Also Istanbul would be a good place to launch — it's a very vibrant city.
