Now that I live in LA with my husband Terence [Beesley, the actor], it's really important for me to get back to the UK, although it always tends to be hectic because I cram in seeing family and friends. We've just got back from Umbria, in Italy, where we have a little house. The light there is amazing and there's just something about those hillsides and medieval villages.
I like the eco shower my husband rigs up between three trees when we go camping with the dog at Big Bear Park. He makes it look like a spa with stones and pine cones.
I always pack my little travel kettle and some tea. I've really got into herbal tea — camomile and fennel are my favourites.
I love my organic cotton T-shirt when I'm travelling. It's designed by Allegra Hicks for the Environmental Justice Foundation. I used to adore a bargain, until I started to think that clothes are cheap for a reason. Someone, somewhere suffers when you can buy a T-shirt for £5.
