A nice pocket-sized book to travel with is The Art of War, which is all about how to tackle things in life. Perfect if you are travelling on your own and you want a confidence boost.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum is very hydrating. If you're flying, you just need a bit of this, loads of water and a glass of Champagne!

Red lipstick is a major for the beach and always in my bag. It sorts your life out.

I'm rocking Ray-Bans at the moment and you can't go wrong with a pair of vintage sunglasses. I never travel with less than ten pairs of shades.

Jewellery and headscarves always come with me. Even in another country I like to have a bit of identity going on — I'd feel naked without it.

Dr Martens boots are great for travelling in, even when it's hot. They are so comfortable and having your feet completely protected is nice.

Perfume is important. I like Chanel No 5
top-ups or Black Orchid by Tom Ford, and I don't mind a bit of aftershave. Dunhill is quite a sexy smell and it reminds me of travelling.

Jaime Winstone's new film Made in Dagenham is on general release from 1 October.
