There's been a flurry of beauty activity arising from our very own countryside of late. Green & Spring is a collection of natural, handmade bath and body products from the owners of Cowley Manor in the Cotswolds. Inspired by their rural retreat, Jessica and Peter Frankopan wanted to develop a natural beauty range that used herbs, flowers and plants native to the British Isles. The range includes products that relax, indulge or revitalise with lovely, whimsical packaging to boot (from £14, greenandspring.com).
Also new from our own backyard is the high-end collection of products by Mitchell & Peach. This time it's the Kent countryside that's the inspiration. The line was created by the owners of Foxbury Farm who, after successfully growing two varieties of lavender normally only found in France, decided to use it in an artisan beauty range. The luxury products use wheat and English honey and are all scented with lavender (from £20, mitchellandpeach.com).
And, lastly, sticking with all things green and beautiful, if you happen to be down at Kew Gardens anytime soon, check out the collection by of-the-moment jeweller Alex Monroe (loved by Sienna Miller, no less). His limited edition Palm House Lockets, which open to reveal an orchid, and Palm Leaves Pendants were designed exclusively for Kew Gardens to celebrate this year's 250th anniversary and are only available to the end of the year (from £90, from the shop at Kew, alexmonroe.com).
