Art lovers, 2010 has officially begun. For once again the London Art Fair (Business Design Centre Islington, January 13-17) is kicking off the artistic year with an invigorating dollop of Modern British and contemporary international art.

This year over 100 galleries from all over the world — including Madrid, Venice, Beijing, New York, Frankfurt, Dublin and Belfast — will be taking part. Alongside the main gallery you’ll find Photo50, a specially curated display of 50 photographs, and Art Projects, a showcase for the most exciting and experimental new works from 25 artists.

Highlights include PRINT NOW, from Bearspace, an exhibition of 100 limited edition print works, Thomas Allen’s pop-up book-inspired still lives, presented by The Foley Gallery, and ‘Ordinary Light’ a series of US government photographs of the first successful atomic bomb explosion in New Mexico in 1945. Perfect for your burgeoning art collection — or the bedroom wall.
