I have travelled the world with my job, but I was born and bred in London. It's a wonderful city to explore the arts. There's an audience for everything here.

The Coliseum (eno.org) is close to my heart as I've danced most of my major roles there, and the Royal Albert Hall (royalalberthall.com) is just amazing for its sheer grandeur.

For lunch, I like to go to The National Gallery. The bar-cum-coffee shop is nice and something different from the busy touristy side of London. I'm quite partial to a pub lunch too.

You're spoilt for choice for a post-show dinner. Cambio de Tercio (cambiodetercio.co.uk) on Brompton Road is a great restaurant as is the Gaucho (gauchorestaurants.co.uk).

I use Freed of London for ballet shoes (freedoflondon.com). The costumes we wear on stage are beautiful. I have my own for some roles but we share others.

At the weekends, I love to walk in Hyde Park and feed the ducks with my niece. To get a real taste of the capital, sit in any one of the parks and take it all in.

The English National Ballet celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. Visit ballet.org.uk.
