'On this plinth you'll be able to see the deconstructed parts which make up this complex costume: the corset, the farthingale, the petticoats, the ruff and the gauntlet gloves. Although costumes are historic it's good to keep in
mind that costumes are theatrical art — they don't necessarily have to be 100 per cent historically correct — we just have to convince the audience that it feels real.'
