Gregory Crewdson
Renowned photographer Gregory Crewdson is perhaps best known for his surreal, filmic stills of small-town America. Catch his latest work at White Cube's Mason's Yard during 24 November-8 January. whitecube.com

From Where I Stand
Mary McCartney's work spans fashion and portrait photography and this exhibition at the Michael Hoppen Gallery reveals her complete archive highlights, from the 1990s to date and including Arizona 2003 (left). Until 20 November. michaelhoppengallery.com

Christine Keeler: My Life in Pictures
Never-before-seen photographs reveal the public and private face of the scandalous 'Profumo affair' model. The images on show at the Mayor Gallery &mdsah; including contact sheets from photoshoots with David Bailey and Brian Duffy - re-create the incredible story in fascinating detail. 3 November-17 December. mayorgallery.com

Eadweard Muybridge
Tate Britain is displaying works by Eadweard Muybridge, who experimented with 3D photography more than 100 years ago, famously proving all four of a horse's hooves leave the ground when it gallops. Until 16 January. tate.org.uk

Shadow Catchers: Camera-less photography
This show at the Victoria & Albert Museum's Porter Gallery features five artists, including Garry Fabian Miller, who for the past 20 years or so have challenged the assumption that a camera is necessary to make a photograph - with symbolic and powerful results. Until 20 February. vam.ac.uk
