Escape from the everyday with British Airways’ new campaign
In a world where daily routines have become increasingly fast-paced, British Airways’ latest TV advertisements and media campaign use the familiar language of an airline safety demonstration, playfully presenting bystanders with an exit door to take a step beyond the ordinary and reconnect with what matters.
An Original British Briefing, directed by the award-winning Jeff Low, follows people navigating their everyday lives as they race towards an escape from routine and towards what travel can offer. Fourteen British Airways’ colleagues feature at the heart of the film, including flight crew, cabin crew, engineers and head office. This new campaign showcases how to turn travel dreams into a reality, from making memories to having epiphanies, putting down your devices to experiencing the out of the ordinary.

Celebrate England Rugby with Nyetimber on board
British Airways partner Nyetimber – the esteemed English sparkling wine producer – has teamed up with England Rugby. To mark this collaboration, former England captain Jamie George has been selected as brand ambassador and is pictured on the brand’s iconic 1968 Routemaster Bus. Fans enjoyed seeing the bus parked up in the Nyetimber Garden in the British Airways West Fan Village during the Guinness Men’s Six Nations matches at Allianz Stadium Twickenham.
To further showcase this partnership, British Airways is serving Nyetimber, the official sparkling wine partner of England Rugby, in Club Europe on flights outbound from Heathrow to Paris on 13 and 14 March. It’s perfect timing for rugby fans heading to the Stade de France in Paris to watch England vs France (aka ‘Le Crunch’) in the final match of the Guinness Men’s Six Nations championship on 14 March.

Red Nose Day returns
British Airways staff will once again not be taking themselves too seriously this Red Nose Day. On Friday 20 March, colleagues will celebrate the day with plenty of fundraising activities, Red Nose desserts on board selected flights and a Red-Nosed aircraft, in the hopes of raising money for Comic Relief through the airline’s Flying Start partnership.
British Airways’ Flying Start partnership has so far helped 1.1 million people worldwide, from new parents in the UK to children in India facing health struggles and mums in South Africa who are determined not to pass HIV on to their babies. Since the partnership began in 2010, British Airways customers and colleagues have raised more than £30m. Customers are encouraged to donate online or when the crew pass through the cabin.
