Exciting news, foodies – especially for couch-potato gourmets. The British Airways Club has expanded its existing rewards partnership with Uber to include the ride-hailing app’s mouthwatering sidekick, Uber Eats. So, next time you’re trying to convince your partner to go halves on a delicious takeaway, you can tell them it will literally help take you on holiday.
What is this madness? Put simply, members of The British Airways Club can now collect Avios simply by ordering their favourite takeaways with Uber Eats. And, of course, thanks to the existing Uber partnership, booking eligible Uber trips (including those to and from the airport) also helps savvy travellers to rack up even more Avios rewards for future travel. Who said, “Extra gelato money”? OK, we did.

Eating in has never been more rewarding
As an added bonus, British Airways Club members can now take advantage of exclusive competitive reward rates with Uber. Book ahead with Uber Reserve and collect 3 Avios per £1 spent in the UK, or €1 in the Republic of Ireland (previously 1 Avios). Book an on-demand airport trip, eligible Uber ride, or even a train journey and collect 2 Avios per £1 spent in the UK or €1 in the Republic of Ireland – double the previous amount. See the full array of rewards here.
Whether you’re on your daily commute, enjoying the comfort of a shared ride home with pals at the end of a big night out, taking a zippy trip across town for all-weather weekend excursions or settling into that effortless (and ever-so-welcome) airport collection after a long flight, every trip brings your next holiday getaway even closer.
With the launch of this partnership, you only have to link your accounts once and then you’ll automatically collect Avios on qualifying food orders with Uber Eats. The only hard bit? Deciding which cuisine to order from an impressive portfolio of more than a million restaurants and merchant partners. These are the kind of dilemmas we relish.
For edible wanderlust, why not order something to inspire your next holiday destination? There’s nothing like aromatic Vietnamese phở, a classic New York cheeseburger and curly fries, a peri-peri-slathered Portuguese rotisserie chicken or an array of vibrant curries from across Southeast Asia to get your tastebuds (and the rest of you) reaching for your passport.

Collect Avios with every order of £25 or more
To qualify to collect Avios with Uber Eats, you’ll just need to make an order of £25 or more, so add that starter, drink and dessert you’re hankering after, too. If you’re lacking milk and bread, take note: grocery orders are currently excluded from the Avios collection, so you’ll still need to hit the shop for those bits.
And, in case you haven’t already linked your British Airways and Uber Eats accounts, all you need to do is follow the simple steps outlined below.
Start building up your Avios bank with every mouthful. Bon appétit, voyagers. To the sofa and beyond!
